Speakers
Pallavi Kondapalli, JD, MS, is an in-house counsel with experience in the areas of intellectual property, patent law, and commercial transactions. Pallavi’s corporate and legal expertise extends across both public and private sectors and international markets.
She served as in-house counsel at Dish Wireless LLC, focusing on enterprise wireless transactions and assessing legal and regulatory risks related to emerging technologies, particularly in artificial intelligence. Before DISH, she acted as in-house counsel for Reach Healthcare, a non-profit global social impact organization offering digital health solutions. Additionally, she has experience as a patent examiner at the Indian Patent Office and as a patent specialist at Frohwitter Lawfirm in Munich, Germany.
Pallavi holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, a Master’s in Law in intellectual property from the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property (MIPLC), and a Master of Science in Textile Engineering from GeorgiaTech. She is licensed with the State of California and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Bernard Tomsa is a Partner at the law firm, Brooks Kushman. Bernie is a registered patent attorney with over ten years of experience drafting patents, freedom-to-operate opinions, responses and appeals in variety of technologies. Bernie has drafted hundreds of patents, and he has extensive experience with software patent applications related to video game software, interactive automotive software systems, digital circuits, database systems, advertisement delivery software and systems, web based applications, smart-phone applications, storage device hardware, and digital content delivery systems.
Bernie works with several multi-national corporations on the management of large patent portfolios. Understanding the competitive advantage that can be obtained through application of modern computing technology to portfolio management, Bernie has developed expertise with software providing analytical portfolio analysis.
Bernie holds a BSE in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, as well as a JD from the George Mason School of Law in Arlington, VA. While in law school, Bernie served as an Associate Editor of the Law Review and an active member of the school’s Moot Court Board. He also sat on George Mason’s Board of Visitors for a year, as a student liaison. Bernie is a registered patent attorney and a member of the State Bar of Virginia.

Eric Reeves is Chief Technology officer at Anaqua.

Gene Quinn is President and CEO at IPWatchdog, Inc.
According to IAM Magazine, Mr. Quinn “has reshaped the IP debate in the United States in a way that has forced policy makers to carefully consider the macroeconomic effects of IP law and its potential to drive innovation and economic activity.”
Regarded as an expert on software patentability and U.S. patent procedure, Mr. Quinn has advised inventors, entrepreneurs and start-up businesses throughout the U.S. and around the world. He consults with attorneys facing peculiar procedural issues at the Patent Office, advises investors and executives on patent law changes and pending litigation matters, and has represented patent practitioners before the Office of Enrollment & Discipline.
Mr. Quinn began his career as a litigator handling a variety of civil litigation matters, and he has been a patent attorney for nearly two decades. He has previously taught a variety of intellectual property courses at the law school level, teaching courses such as patent law, patent claim drafting, patent prosecution, copyright law, trademark law and introduction to intellectual property at Syracuse University College of Law, Temple University School of Law, The University of Toledo College of Law, the University of New Hampshire School of Law, the John Marshall Law School (Chicago) and Whittier Law School. Since 2000 Mr. Quinn has also taught the leading patent bar review course in the nation.
Mr. Quinn is admitted to practice law in New Hampshire, is a Registered Patent Attorney licensed to practice before the United States Patent Office and is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
